On June 27, the 7th National County-Level Tourism Research Results Release Series was held in Zhuji, Zhejiang Province. During the event, the National County-Level Tourism Research Group and Huaxia Baiqiang Tourism Consulting Center jointly released the National County-Level Tourism Research Report 2025. The report systematically evaluated the tourism development of 1,866 counties nationwide and released the lists of the top 100 counties in terms of comprehensive tourism strength, the top 100 counties with development potential, and the 100 fastest-developing counties. Dunhuang made it onto the list of the top 100 counties in China in terms of comprehensive tourism strength in 2025.
